Last Updated: 2 July 2026

  1. Our Commitment

At Nieu Sol Education, we are passionate about creating practical, high-quality educational resources that save teachers time and support effective classroom teaching.

Every lesson plan, worksheet, assessment, story and educational programme represents a significant investment of time, expertise and collaboration by our curriculum specialists.

By purchasing and using our resources ethically, you help us continue developing new content and supporting educators across South Africa.

Thank you for respecting the work that goes into every Nieu Sol product.

  1. Purpose of this Policy

This policy explains:

  • Who owns the intellectual property in our resources;
  • What customers are permitted to do with purchased products;
  • What is prohibited;
  • How schools may obtain broader usage rights;
  • How copyright infringement is handled.

This policy forms part of our Website Terms & Conditions.

  1. Ownership of Intellectual Property

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, all intellectual property rights in every Nieu Sol Education resource remain the exclusive property of Nieu Sol Education.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Lesson plans
  • Weekly and daily planning
  • Worksheets
  • Assessments
  • Stories
  • Illustrations
  • Artwork
  • Icons
  • Templates
  • Product layouts
  • Cover pages
  • Branding
  • Logos
  • Educational methodologies
  • Teacher guides
  • Marketing material
  • Website content
  • Videos
  • Downloadable files
  • Product names
  • Digital designs

Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.

  1. Licence Granted

When you purchase a resource from Nieu Sol Education, you are purchasing a licence to use the product, not ownership of the product itself.

Unless otherwise stated, each purchase includes a Single Teacher Licence.

This licence is:

  • Personal;
  • Non-exclusive;
  • Non-transferable;
  • Revocable in the event of a breach of this policy.
  1. What You May Do

Your purchase allows you to:

✔ Use the resource in your own classroom.

✔ Print copies for learners in your own assigned class.

✔ Display the resource during lessons.

✔ Make reasonable classroom adaptations to suit the needs of your learners.

✔ Store the resource on your own personal computer or device for teaching purposes.

✔ Continue using the resource if you move to another school, provided it remains for your personal classroom use.

  1. What You May NOT Do

Without prior written permission from Nieu Sol Education, you may not:

  • Share digital files with colleagues.
  • Email resources to another teacher.
  • Upload resources to shared school drives.
  • Place resources on Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox for others to access.
  • Share resources through WhatsApp, Telegram or other messaging platforms.
  • Upload resources to Facebook groups or social media.
  • Resell any Nieu Sol resource.
  • Remove Nieu Sol branding or copyright notices.
  • Claim authorship of any resource.
  • Modify resources for commercial sale.
  • Upload resources to online marketplaces.
  • Include Nieu Sol content in another commercial product.
  • Copy substantial portions of our resources to create competing products.
  1. School Licensing

We understand that many schools wish to provide the same high-quality resources to multiple educators.

If more than one teacher requires access, we encourage schools to purchase an appropriate School Licence.

A School Licence provides authorised access for multiple educators within the same institution, subject to the applicable licence agreement.

Please contact us for licensing options tailored to your school’s needs.

  1. Group Purchases

Resources purchased by one teacher may not be shared with other teachers unless a School Licence or Group Licence has been obtained.

Each educator using the resource must either:

  • Hold their own licence; or
  • Be covered under an authorised school or group licence.
  1. Respecting Our Curriculum Team

Our resources are developed by experienced South African educators who continually review and improve the content to ensure it remains relevant and curriculum aligned.

Unauthorised copying and distribution directly undermines the work of our curriculum specialists and limits our ability to invest in new educational resources.

By respecting copyright, you are supporting South African teachers who develop resources for fellow educators.

  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

To protect our intellectual property, customers may not use Nieu Sol Education resources to:

  • Train artificial intelligence models;
  • Generate competing educational products;
  • Upload substantial portions of our resources into AI platforms for redistribution or commercial purposes;
  • Reproduce our resources using AI in a manner that infringes our copyright.

The use of AI as a personal classroom planning aid remains the responsibility of the educator, provided it does not infringe the rights of Nieu Sol Education.

  1. Copyright Infringement

Nieu Sol Education actively protects its intellectual property.

Where unauthorised use is identified, we may:

  • Issue a cease-and-desist notice;
  • Suspend or terminate customer accounts;
  • Revoke licences;
  • Require the removal of infringing material;
  • Notify online platforms and hosting providers;
  • Seek financial compensation for losses suffered;
  • Institute civil proceedings;
  • Pursue criminal remedies where appropriate under South African law.
  1. Reporting Copyright Abuse

If you become aware of the unauthorised sale, sharing or distribution of Nieu Sol Education resources, we encourage you to report it.

Please include, where possible:

  • A website or social media link;
  • Screenshots;
  • The name of the seller;
  • Any supporting information.

Reports may be submitted to:

📧 hello@nieusol.co.za

All reports will be treated confidentially as far as reasonably possible.

  1. Ethical Use

Our goal is not to restrict teachers from using resources effectively—we want to support educators while ensuring the sustainability of our business.

We ask that every customer uses our resources fairly, ethically and in accordance with this policy.

If you are unsure whether a particular use is permitted, please contact us before proceeding. We are always happy to discuss licensing options or find a solution that works for everyone.

  1. Educational Collaboration

We recognise that schools often collaborate and share ideas. If you require resources for multiple teachers, grades or campuses, we’d love to help.

Nieu Sol Education offers customised licensing solutions for:

  • Individual teachers;
  • Schools;
  • Multi-campus institutions;
  • Educational groups;
  • Teacher training providers;
  • Districts and educational organisations.

Please contact us to discuss a licensing solution that meets your needs.

  1. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in legislation, technology or our business operations.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

Continued use of our products after publication of an updated policy constitutes acceptance of the revised version.

A Note to Our Customers

We know teachers often share resources with the best intentions. Our aim is not to make life difficult for educators, but to ensure that the teachers and curriculum specialists who create these resources are fairly recognised and that Nieu Sol Education can continue investing in new, high-quality content.

If your school or teaching team needs broader access, we’d be delighted to help you find the right licensing solution.

Thank you for supporting original South African educational resources.
