Refund Policy

Nieu Sol Education

Effective Date: 2 July 2026

Last Updated: 2 July 2026

  1. Our Commitment

At Nieu Sol Education, we are committed to providing high-quality, curriculum-aligned digital educational resources developed by experienced South African educators.

Because our products are supplied electronically and become immediately accessible after purchase, refunds are handled differently from physical goods.

This Refund Policy explains when a refund may be granted and when it cannot.

  1. Scope of this Policy

This policy applies to all digital products sold through www.nieusol.co.za, including but not limited to:

  • Lesson Preparation Programmes
  • Weekly Lesson Plans
  • Worksheets
  • Assessment Resources
  • Stories
  • Life Skills Resources
  • Mathematics Resources
  • Language Development Resources
  • Coding & Robotics Resources
  • Management Resources
  • Teacher Training Material
  • Downloadable PDFs
  • Printable Resources
  • Digital Templates
  • Educational Guides

Unless specifically stated otherwise, all products sold by Nieu Sol Education are supplied electronically.

  1. Digital Nature of Our Products

Unlike physical products, digital resources cannot be “returned” once downloaded or accessed.

For this reason, customers are encouraged to carefully review:

  • Product descriptions
  • Grade
  • Subject
  • Language
  • Term
  • Preview images
  • Product contents

before completing a purchase.

  1. Our Refund Principle

We believe in treating our customers fairly.

If something has genuinely gone wrong, we will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Whenever possible, we prefer to:

  • Correct the issue
  • Replace the product
  • Provide the correct resource

before considering a refund.

  1. Refunds Will Be Considered Where

A refund may be approved where:

5.1 Duplicate Purchase

You accidentally purchased the same product more than once.

5.2 Incorrect Product Delivered

You received a different product from the one purchased.

5.3 Corrupted Files

The downloaded files are damaged and cannot be opened.

5.4 Technical Failure

A verified technical problem on our systems prevented access to the purchased product and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable period.

5.5 Payment Error

A payment was successfully processed, but no order was created and no product was delivered.

5.6 Other Exceptional Circumstances

Nieu Sol Education may approve a refund where exceptional circumstances justify doing so.

Each request will be considered individually.

  1. Refunds Will Generally NOT Be Granted

Because of the nature of digital educational products, refunds will generally not be granted where:

  • You changed your mind.
  • You no longer need the resource.
  • You ordered the wrong grade, language or term through your own error.
  • You did not read the product description.
  • You expected the product to contain additional content not advertised.
  • You purchased the product by mistake.
  • You found a similar product elsewhere.
  • Your school decided not to use the resource.
  • You do not have compatible software to open the files.
  • You experienced printer-related issues unrelated to the product.
  • You failed to download the resource within the available period despite receiving access.
  • The resource has already been downloaded or accessed and no defect exists.
  1. Curriculum Updates

Our curriculum specialists continually review and improve our resources.

Where curriculum changes occur:

  • Minor updates may be provided free of charge where applicable.
  • Major revisions or entirely new editions may require a new purchase unless otherwise stated.

Curriculum changes do not automatically entitle customers to a refund.

  1. Product Corrections

Although every product is professionally reviewed, occasional errors may occur.

Where an error is identified, Nieu Sol Education may:

  • Correct the resource.
  • Replace the file.
  • Update the download.
  • Notify affected customers where appropriate.

Minor corrections do not constitute grounds for a refund.

  1. Product Compatibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have suitable software to open purchased files.

Our products are generally supplied in widely used formats such as PDF.

Nieu Sol Education cannot provide refunds because a customer lacks appropriate software or technical knowledge.

  1. Promotional Purchases

Products purchased during promotions, sales or discount campaigns remain subject to this Refund Policy.

The existence of a promotion does not reduce your consumer rights under applicable South African legislation.

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be based on the amount actually paid.

  1. School Purchases

Schools purchasing multiple licences should ensure that the correct products and quantities are selected before payment.

Refund requests relating to school purchases will be assessed individually.

  1. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Your request should include:

  • Full name
  • Email address used during purchase
  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Reason for the request
  • Screenshots where applicable

  1. Assessment of Requests

Each refund request is assessed fairly and individually.

We may request additional information before making a decision.

Where necessary, we may attempt to resolve the issue before approving a refund.

  1. Approved Refunds

14.1 Where a refund request is approved, Nieu Sol Education will process the refund using the original payment method wherever reasonably possible.

14.2 Approved refunds will generally be processed within a reasonable period after approval. The time taken for the funds to reflect in the customer’s account will depend on the customer’s financial institution and payment provider.

14.3 Where a refund is requested for reasons not attributable to an error, fault or omission on the part of Nieu Sol Education, an administration and transaction fee of R50.00 will be deducted from the refund amount.

14.4 This fee is intended solely to recover costs already incurred by Nieu Sol Education, including payment gateway charges, banking fees, transaction costs, administrative processing and reconciliation.

14.5 No administration or transaction fee will be charged where the refund arises because:

  • Nieu Sol Education supplied the incorrect product;
  • the product is defective or the digital files are corrupt and cannot reasonably be repaired or replaced;
  • a technical or payment processing error occurred on our systems;
  • the refund is required in terms of applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

14.6 Where applicable, the customer will be informed of the refund amount and any administration fee before the refund is processed.

  1. Fraud Prevention and Abuse of the Refund Process

15.1 To protect our curriculum developers, intellectual property and the sustainability of our business, Nieu Sol Education reserves the right to investigate any refund request where fraudulent or abusive conduct is suspected.

15.2 Refunds may be refused where there is reasonable evidence that a customer has:

  • downloaded and retained the product while requesting a refund without valid grounds;
  • shared, distributed or resold the product prior to requesting a refund;
  • repeatedly requested refunds in circumstances suggesting abuse of this policy;
  • provided false or misleading information in support of a refund request; or
  • otherwise attempted to obtain products or services dishonestly.

15.3 Where fraudulent activity or copyright infringement is identified, Nieu Sol Education reserves the right to suspend or terminate the customer’s account, revoke any licence granted under the Website Terms & Conditions, refuse future transactions and pursue any civil or criminal remedies available under South African law.

15.4 Nothing in this policy limits Nieu Sol Education’s right to recover damages or seek other legal remedies arising from fraud, copyright infringement or unlawful use of its intellectual property.

  1. Consumer Protection Act

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights that customers may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

Where applicable legislation requires a refund, repair or replacement, Nieu Sol Education will comply with those legal obligations.

  1. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time.

Any revised version will be published on our website together with the effective date.

Continued use of our website following publication of updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
