How to Use the Triangle Cards

Each triangle card represents a multiplication and division fact family.

How it works:

1. Read the two numbers at the bottom of the triangle.
2. Multiply them together to find the number at the top.
3. Use the same three numbers to practise the related division facts.

Example:

Bottom Left: 4

Bottom Right: 10

Top: 40

Learners can practise:

• 4 × 10 = 40
• 10 × 4 = 40
• 40 ÷ 4 = 10
• 40 ÷ 10 = 4

The included blank triangle template allows learners to create their own fact families, reinforce learning and complete teacher-directed or independent activities.
